CSL300 Curling and Lining Machine
The CSL300 combines the full curling module with the high-speed lining system of the SL300 model, integrating both processes into a single compact and high-performance machine.
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the CSL300 optimizes cycle time, floor space, and production efficiency while maintaining maximum precision in both forming and compound application.
The process begins with a feeding system composed of three knives positioner, ensuring proper flatness and correct presentation of the end before entering the curling station.

Automatic Cleaning System
The CSL300 incorporates the same automatic cleaning system used across the product range.
The system includes:
- Cleaning brush
- Purge station
- Water tank with automatic pumping system
At configurable intervals via the touchscreen:
- The head automatically moves to the cleaning station.
- The nozzle passes through the brush to remove external compound residues.
- The compound inside the injector is purged.
- The nozzle passes through the brush again before returning to the lining position.
During production stops:
- The nozzle remains positioned inside the water tank to prevent air intake.
- This prevents compound drying inside the injector.
- Before restarting production, the automatic brush → purge → brush cycle is executed.
This system ensures maximum process stability, reduced downtime, and minimal manual intervention.
Curling Station
The CSL300 incorporates a full curling module with servo-controlled die movement.
The curl forming process is carried out using a die set driven by two independent servo motors:
- One acting on the upper tooling
- One acting on the lower tooling
This dual-servo configuration reduces process time by approximately half compared to traditional systems, where only the lower tool moves through a significantly longer stroke.
The fully servo-controlled movement provides:
- High precision during die impact
- Fine adjustment of curl height directly from the touchscreen interface (degree-based regulation)
The system includes end presence detection, preventing die collision when no end is present. This significantly reduces:
- Operating noise
- Premature tooling wear
- Maintenance requirements
During the curling process, ends are transported by four lateral fingers, driven by two high-precision endless side belts, ensuring stable positioning and accurate guidance.
Lining Station
After curling, the end moves to the lining station, based on the high-speed concept of the SL300.
Ends are fed in transverse position (short-side leading), reducing the pitch between ends and increasing production density.
Thanks to this configuration, the machine can reach speeds of up to 300 ends per minute (depending on format and compound characteristics).
The end is transported by a high-precision endless belt system, ensuring secure holding and smooth movement throughout the lining process.
Compound application is performed by the Spider Head Liner, ensuring:
- Constant linear speed
- Constant pressure
- Highly uniform and stable compound distribution
The injector follows the end during the lining process, completing the application in a single cycle to maximize output.
After the lining process, the end is transferred to a second belt positioned at 90°, which reorients the end back to its standard orientation to ensure proper entry into the drying or curing oven.
